Overview

Rhinoplasty procedure is for correcting the nose, restoring the function, and giving it an aesthetically pleasing look. The plastic surgeon will describe facial features that make you unique and tell you how changes would enhance your appearance.

Procedure

The surgeon makes cuts within the nostrils. He then reshapes the inner bone and cartilage to produce more pleasing appearance and implant if required maybe kept for straightening the nose.

Risks

Swelling, bruising around the eyes which improves on the 3rd day, watering of the nose and some numbness.

Recovery

After a nose job, people usually wear a nasal splint for the first week and little swelling may be present for 2 to 3 months after which the final shape of your nose would be apparent. Strenuous activity is to be avoided for 3 to 6 weeks.
